Your home in Morocco, empty eleven months out of twelve?

Concierge B et B manages the homes of Moroccans living abroad (MRE) in Marrakech, Casablanca, Rabat and Essaouira. We rent out your property on a short-term basis while you are away, you keep your dates for your own stays, and your income is paid out in euros at the start of each month.

The bond with Morocco is strong: according to the Office des changes, remittances from Moroccans abroad exceeded 122 billion dirhams in 2025, and Operation Marhaba welcomed more than 4 million people in summer 2025. Much of that bond runs through property. But a closed home keeps costing money, in charges, taxes and insurance, and it deteriorates, especially near the ocean.

Permits, guest registration, taxes: it is all explained in our guide Moroccans abroad (MRE): having your property in Morocco managed while you are away (in French).

Your questions, our answers

Managing a home in Morocco from abroad

What is a concierge service for Moroccans living abroad?

It is a service that looks after your home in Morocco while you live abroad: listing, guests, cleaning, upkeep and payment of your income. At Concierge B et B, everything can be followed remotely, in Marrakech, Casablanca, Rabat and Essaouira.

I live abroad, can I entrust you with my home in Morocco?

Yes, whether you live in France, Belgium, Spain, the Netherlands, Canada or elsewhere. You have nothing to do on site: we handle the listing, guests, cleaning and upkeep, and you follow your bookings remotely.

Can I keep my home for my own stays in Morocco?

Yes. You block your dates in advance, in summer, for Eid or for the end-of-year holidays, and we rent out your property the rest of the time. When you arrive, it is clean, well kept and ready to live in.

Which cities in Morocco do you cover?

Marrakech, Casablanca, Rabat and Essaouira. Each city has its own page, with the sought-after neighbourhoods and the type of guests.

What are your rates in Morocco?

The same as in France: 20% incl. VAT of rent collected, excluding the Airbnb commission, 17% from three properties and 25% for the Premium plan, reserved for high-end homes. Set-up fees and consumables are detailed on our rates page.

When and in which currency will I receive my income?

At the start of each month, in euros, with the details of every stay.

What does Moroccan law say about short-term rentals?

Law 80-14 on tourist establishments and its 2023 implementing decree govern this type of accommodation. Three topics keep coming up: authorisation of the home, guest registration and insurance. The details vary from city to city and change over time: check your home and your municipality before you start.

Where do I declare my rent if I live in France?

For a French tax resident, the tax treaty between France and Morocco provides that income from a property is taxable in Morocco, where it is located. It must also be declared in France, where a tax credit avoids paying twice. If you live elsewhere, your own country's treaty applies. Speak to an accountant before your first rental.
